OK- I just checked the settings here at work (IE8) and they are what I was used to. At home, I use FF - but now that you mention it, this may have started after I upgraded to the latest version of FF (10?). Interesting.
FF is being left further and further behind. Chrome is rapidly becoming the anti-IE browser. It may be that FF has gone off on its own again and can no longer support the full version of the editor.

Well, now I am home, and everything is "back to normal"... so I'll never know if it was FF or if the advanced editor was really different for a couple of days...
