When I signed in tonight, there was a Facebook sign in option, which is new. Not sure when they added that, but I thought we should be careful not to click on that -- don't want to hook BD up with FB!

I posted a new topic in Soapbox and it didn't appear. So I reposted it. Nothing. Closed BD and reopened - nothing. Posted again. No show. Closed my browser. Re-opened... no post. Three identical posts will show up tomorrow, won't they? Sigh.

This is new- just over the past few hours. Every post I comment in is now marked "unread" until someone else posts. This doesn't happen to posts where someone else's comment is the last one - as soon as I read it, it goes to "read" status. But if the last comment is my own, it stays...

Shhhhhhhh! I think they fixed it! Threads that I read at work are marked "read" when I check at home on either of my computers, and vice versa! This makes things so much easier.

"Marking read"

The topics marked as read must be linked to IP address and not user name. I check BD on 3 separate computers, and it will mark topics read only on the computer I used to read that post. Nothing major, just annoying. Any chance of a "mark all read" within the forums? Just grumbling.

Assuming you registered and have a password, there will be no difference for you. We are starting our second page of posts which seems like a good time to get feedback. As time has gone on, I have become very used to the way this site works and, on the whole, think it serves our needs at least as well, if not better than our old site. How say ye?

If you click on someone's name, their profile page is displayed. You can send private messages from there and you can write on their whiteboard which, presumably remains there for awhile.

There are 5 stars over to the right near the top. Click on the number of stars you want to give the post. I'm not sure whether I like that idea or not. But it's there. I'll research whether we can make it go away, and if so, take a poll.

If you click on "List all users" it shows a map of the world and shows which country people are logging in from. Neat!
